Boyz-II-Men

Career Workshop

In an exciting collaboration, the Kappa League partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami (BBBS Miami) to host a dynamic Career Workshop under the theme Boyz II Men. For the first time, Leaguers were bussed to BBBS Miami and proudly wore their new polo shirts designed by the eBoard, kicking off the One Kappa League theme. This event brought together Leaguers from both the Miami and Miramar-Pembroke Pines Kappa Leagues for an unforgettable experience.

The workshop featured a warm welcome from BBBS Miami President/CEO Gale Nelson, an inspiring motivational talk from Former NFL Player Antonio Robinson, and a panel of professionals from various fields. They discussed topics ranging from life experiences and academics to extracurricular activities, personal growth, and much more.

Leaguers actively participated in ice-breakers and took part in iGrad's “Finding Your Dream Career” training, which provided valuable insights into career pathways. The day concluded with a session on the transition to college, led by Immediate-President Dwaine Weeks, a freshman at Florida International University.

This workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for our Leaguers to learn from real-world professionals and gain critical tools for their future success.
